What is self-sabotage? Self-sabotaging meaning. Self-sabotage is when we actively or passively take steps to prevent ourselves from reaching our goals.

I was drawn to this topic when someone close to me pointed out that I was self sabotaging because I was scared of a particular major life event . Like every normal person, you get defensive but it’s also normal to also accept correction and work on yourself.

These could happen due to different reasons;

It might be due to fear of failing

Lack of self esteem

A feeling of worthlessness

Even the fear of it working out.

The fear of what next . This is when a person fear or dreads the next step to take in life after achieving a particular goal so they stall .

These are few , there are many more ways or reasons that could lead to one sabotaging themselves and projects .

The primary sign of this process is procrastination. The “I will do it tomorrow”. When you find yourself procrastinating on important things, work or events . Ask yourself why.

Other signs might include giving excuses as to why you can’t take a particular job or task when you know that you can .

The topic of self sabotage is broad and is one that is best analyzed personally.

The only way to limit or stop yourself from sabotaging yourself is to know what it entails and what triggers this . After searching the web I found a site that will help broaden your knowledge on this topic. I rather not talk about what I am not sure about or have little knowledge on .
